FILIPINO MAGNATE FILES BOGUS SUIT AGAINST PRESS!

NAZARIO FILES LAME SUIT BEFORE MURAD WAS KO’D!

Boxing fans, if you read the next few paragraphs in their entirety, you’ll see how they spell bulls*it in Tagalog, the native tongue of the Philippines. A few months ago, we were beating the stuffing out of Philippine boxing magnate Rod Nazario. I contended that Nazario, Manny Pacquiao’s Philippine manager, that he was in bed with promoter Murad Muhammad. And that not only was this a violation of Federal law and the Muhammad Ali Boxing Act, I felt it bordered on being criminal, as Pacquiao’s being misrepresented by Nazario cost him millions of American dollars in the March 2005 Erik Morales fight alone.

THAT AGREEMENT SEALED MURAD’S FATE

In late June there was a trial in New York that pitted Pacquiao against Murad. No surprise that the almost incestuous relationship between Nazario and Muhammad was the centerpiece. With the jury ready to knock Murad the puck out, (they were polled later), the parties settled and Pacquiao is freed from what “The Pinoy” Jason Aniel called a “slave contract,” that was recommended to Manny by his manager (and promoter) Rod Nazario

WE PROVIDED THE DOCUMENT FOR YOU!

And of course, we printed the contract/agreement that proved they were indeed co-promoters. But before any of this came to light, Nazario filed a suit in the islands against myself, U.S. based Filipino writer Winchell Campos, and www.MannyPacquiao.ph owner Dong Seguya. The postal system being what it is in the islands, Dong received word of this lawsuit a few weeks ago. Filipino boxing fans, they are livid, as indicated by the message board at Dong’s website dedicated to Pacquiao.

OH ROD, PULL YOUR FOOT OUT OF THY MOUTH

How embarrassing is this folks? Nazario claims the three of use “libeled” him when we printed that he was in the sack with Murad! The trial in New York put the promotional agreement between Rod and Murad into the record. Lawyers say he filed this in late May, early June, this in an attempt to silence the three of us. I know everything I said about Nazario was either fact or opinion, and I think seeing the way the trial in New York went, Mr. Nazario is ignorant, arrogant, or he just simply forgot. Either way, we proved our case and the important thing is that Manny is free from Murad!
