Pacquiao goes extra mile to train vs Mosley

The last time Manny Pacquiao got provoked into training like hell was against Oscar De La Hoya in Dec. 2008, a fight that forced the Golden Boy to call it quits after an illustrious career.

LAS VEGAS ? Two years and six months later, Pacquiao felt that itch again as he prepares to face Shane Mosley this Saturday night at the MGM Grand.

Pacquiao told a group of reporters on Wednesday that the last time he remembered going the extra mile in training was against the legendary De la Hoya because there was bad blood between them.

?He sent me a (pair of signed) gloves and said he would knock me out,? said Pacquiao, who also pointed to De La Hoya?s immense size and image as reasons why he got all pumped up during training.

Stung by De La Hoya?s apparent lack of respect, Pacquiao punished his handsome foe, whose face had assumed the shape of a pumpkin that had been bashed during Halloween.

Unlike De la Hoya, Mosley has been a fine gentleman, even thanking Pacquiao for the opportunity to square off against him during the four-city whirlwind, cross-country promotional tour held last February.
