Two high-class bouts will precede the big fight between Manny Pacquiao and Shane Mosley in Las Vegas on Saturday night.
Among the undercard fights that may be shown live on SuperSport is a WBO super-bantamweight clash between Wilfredo Vazquez Jr and Jorge Arce.
The bout between Kelly Pavlik and Alfonso Lopez is also likely to provide exciting boxing.
Vazquez, who is still unbeaten, will defend his WBO belt against Jorge Arce, a veteran of 64 professional fights.
The champion, from Puerto Rico has a record of 20-0-1, with 17 knockouts. Arce?s record stands at 56-6-2; 17.
Both are known as action fighters, but the 26-year-old Vazquez, the son of a man who held world titles in three divisions, is the favourite against the 31-year-old Mexican.
Vazquez failed to impress at the start of his career but he has shown tremendous improvement over the past two years.
He won the vacant WBO belt in February last year with a fourth-round knockout over Marvin Sonsona and retained it against Zsolt Bedak (tko 10) and Ivan Hernandez (tko 11).
Arce has been in many wars, winning the WBC light-flyweight, IBF super-flyweight and WBO super-flyweight belts along the way.
Since losing to Cristain Mijares in 2007 he has also lost to Vic Darchinyan and South African Simphiwe Nongqayi.
Even though Vazquez lacks experience at top level he is capable of stopping the challenger in the late rounds.
BIGGER PAVLIK RETURNS
Former WBC and WBO middleweight champion Pavlik brings a record of 36-2; 32 into the tournament.
The man from Youngstown in Ohio returns as a super-middleweight, facing WBC Continental Americas champion Alfonso Lopez (21-0; 16) from Cut and Shoot in Texas in a ten-rounder.
Mike Alvarado (29-0; 21) of Denver takes on Ray Narh (25-1; 21) from Accra, Ghana, in a 12-round junior welterweight match for the WBC Continental Americas title.
IBF TITLE AT STAKE IN GERMANY
In Neubrandenburg, Germany, IBF middleweight champion Sebastian Sylvester faces Australian challenger Daniel Geale on Saturday night.
The German, with a record of 34-3-1; 16, will defend his belt for the fourth time. Geale stands at 25-1; 15.
Both are highly regarded by The Ring magazine, which has Sylvester at No 2 and Geale at No 4.
The 30-year-old champion was a good amateur but his professional debut proved to be a disaster when he was stopped 1 minute 34 seconds into the fight by Yuri Zaystev on May 26, 2002.
He then won his next 21 fights before Amin Asaiken stopped him in the eighth round in a bout for the European middleweight title in 2006.
His only other loss was in 2008 when current WBA middleweight champion Felix Sturm beat him on points.
Geale, 30, is the mandatory challenger. It will be his first fight outside Australia.
He won a gold medal in the welterweight division at the 2002 Commonwealth Games and was unbeaten in his first 21 professional fights.
He then lost on a controversial split decision to countryman Anthony Mundine.
Geale will have a height advantage against Sylvester but he is inclined to be wild and has been dropped a number of times.
Sylvester won the vacant IBF belt in September 2009 when he beat Giovanni Lorenzo on a split decision. He has made successful defences against Billy Lyell (tko 10), Roman Karmazin (draw 12) and Mahir Oral (points 12).
On the same card, Britain?s Danny McIntosh defends his European light-heavyweight title against Eduard Gutknecht.
