Hi RSR, I just have a quick question. Who do you guys think is the most exciting fighter today? PJ Loyd
PJ, I think you can put Floyd Mayweather, JR as the most exciting with Diego Corrales as number two.
George, While PACMAN’s opponent now having won his tune up fight in preparation for their Sept 10 playdate, Pacman enjoys the luxury of his millions and movie tapings. Do you think these are some factors that may cause his downfall? Pao
Well, if you’d asked me that question about him two and a half years back, I might’ve said a different story. No I don’t think at this stage it’ll have much to do on his performances Pao.
Any failures on his part would be critical for the kind of lifestyle you’re conveying. You can’t always believe what you hear.
George, Which Division would Manny fight Hector Velasquez? What do you think is the best division for Pacquiao on this fight?. Any Predictions if he fights at 125? or 130? Michael Cadungog
Michael, I believe there being little disparity in weights, though closer to 130 LBS sounds about right; if not a pound or two more give or take. I still think he can fight pretty much the same way at either 126 or 130 weights.
George, What is your prediction about the outcome of the Pacman vs Velasquez fight? I am a big Pacman fan, but I don’t know much about Velasquez. Thanks. Dodoie
Dodoie, Your questions are much appreciated by us. Many don’t know about Hector Velasquez.
Velasquez back in June 2002 was good enough to beat Guty Espadas, JR., by split-decision. No small task by any means to get by him. He’s growing in experience, and someone Manny should not take lightly.
George, Do you think Barrera and EM is ducking JMM? It kinda sucks because JMM can’t get the same popularity as these two guys do. Manny fought 3 warriors without doubting himself. JMM I believe will beat MAB and EM via UD. Gerald
Gerald, Firstly I don’t believe JMM gets anywhere by complaining. Second, he must do what he has to. To fight keeping active without having any preconceived thoughts to distract him around with Pac Man, Morales, or Marco Antonio.
There’s a big difference in waiting for your chance while upping your activity to be in public view, to waiting resting on laurels. I also believe Marquez would fair much better making a statement by dropping the belt entitlements to move up in weight. Think of any larger cooler casting calls other than that for a million smackers?
George, Just want to know is Floyd has a chance of winning in fighting Winky Wright? the rumors are all over the internet. Floyd is willing to take the risk, he will climb up to 154. What you think?! Kent
Kent, I think he’ll make Winky Wright ll old in a fight. First goes to Floyd by majority decision, second one unanimously. PBF is just too fast for Wright to see.
Hi George, I would like to ask if there is any existing rule in boxing that prohibits a boxer fighting his own brother when thus in fact it is a potential superfight. for example the pac brothers. Kentaro Nishikawa
Kentaro, They’ve tried to get the Klitschko brothers to fight here in the States, but neither would fight each other. This is a personal call that a fighter may undertake… but unless the rules commission had anything in writing against one of the eldest professions in prizefighting not to fight his brother; it would show utter contempt to the story about Cain who slew Abel.

Juncay, My opinion is that Bobby Pacquaio has his hands full against El Famoso. Manny’s salary ranks right about now on how it ought to be.
George, If Flash Elorde and Manny Pacquiao ever fought, who would win and why? Jerol
Jerol, That’s like family pickings over the McCoy’s and the Hatfield’s feuding. Two of the sports best diverse fighters for their times. FLASH ELORDE.
George, Loved the Ali stuff. How does Ali fair in his prime against the primes of Larry Holmes, Rocky Marciano, Mike Tyson Joe Louis, Billy Conn moving up like he did, and Max Bear? Diego Corrales, (Not the boxer but I wish)
Diego, Thanks for the compliment. Conn was a real light-heavyweight assaulter, but no real business being in the same ring with Ali. Louis would had given Ali his defeat for me because I don’t really think that moving away would have settled the argument for winning if he took to it. Tyson-Ali would’ve been the jewel. At his best Mike Tyson could have knocked Ali out, however, I don’t think his will power would have allowed it (Ali on points). Mariano-Ali would have either gone the distance with Ali winning, or Marciano would have won by a knockout somewhere between the eighth and fourteenth rounds had they fought. Rocky had that much knockout power.
George, Tex Cobb vs Tommy Morrison. Who wins? Randy Johnson
Randy, Rough and rugged Tex Cobb was a really gritty fighter also. But earlier on, if Morrison was right, I do believe he would’ve cut Cobb badly leading to an eventual late round technical stoppage.
George, I am so sick and tired of folks saying Bernard Hopkins won. Please put them to rest and give us your breakdown of who you think won the fight and your scorecard. Jonathan Thompson
Jonathan, You asked. I had it 8-3-1 for Taylor, and I was generous. I thought that one judge (Not Duane Ford) who was advocating such a stringent one-dimensional overview to bring along subjective scoring made Mr. Duane Ford look bad like the fall guy. Something closer to 113-116 for Taylor wouldn’t have been unordinary to look at out of line. Listen, this is supposed to be professional judging. Sometimes one judge can have it totally in another different way in order to give his fighter a chance to get back into the fight. Subjective casting and voting happens all the time however, even in electing Bush.
George, I liked the Alfredo Evangelista tribute very much and thought he should have been a champion, but never could beat that next level of fighters. How do you think he does today against the current champions and the top five in the heavyweight division> Robert Vendel/Pontiac, MI
Robert, Thanks for the read you liked. Alfredo would’ve done a far better job these days and I’ll leave it at that. What a better stable crop of fighters they had back then like Ron Lyle and Earnie Shavers to name, but a few, I mean they really had it like that. And fought they did! Given the kinds of heavyweights today as opposed to the ones Evangelista had fought in his day tells everybody mostly everything.
