Like his more illustrious older brother, Bobby Pacquiao is hitting a lucky streak these days.
Bobby, recently named GAB Boxer of the Month for June, is reportedly about to collect a lucrative sum in his upcoming fight in the undercard of the blockbuster Diego Corrales-Jose Luis Castillo rematch at Las Vegas’ Thomas and Mack Center on Oct. 8.
According to an Internet report, the deal was confirmed by Bobby’s older brother Manny, who along with American promoter Michael Koncz, handles the management of Bobby’s career. Manny reportedly said that it would be the biggest purse in his brother’s career.
Although Manny did not name his brother’s upcoming opponent, the boxrec.com data says it will be tough guy Carlos “Famoso” Hernendez, an old-school brawler who went the full 12 rounds with Erik Morales in their 2004 fight.

Originally from the Central American republic of El Salvador, Hernandez sports a 41-5-2 win-loss-draw slate stuffed with 24 knockouts, and has never been stopped in his career.
Bobby, whose newfound fortune is a direct result of his stirring seventh-round KO of Mexican Carlos Navarro last month, is expected to earn a huge payday in his upcoming match.
Manny is set to receive a large amount of cash as well in his upcoming fight. The Filipino icon is reportedly going to earn P39 million in his tussle with Hector Velazquez of Mexico on Sept. 10. (
