MALUNGON, Sarangani ? The construction of a P4.5 million worth local tourism center funded by Sarangani Rep. Manny Pacquiao is now underway following its groundbreaking recently.
Pacquiao, who was in the United States for the promotion of his upcoming fight with Shane Mosley, was not able to attend the groundbreaking ceremony.
Local officials led by Mayor Reynaldo Constantino and Department of Public Works and Highways district engineer Fernando Santander instead graced the groundbreaking ceremony.
Constantino said the project is part of the P21million tourism and cultural development plan that will be funded by Pacquiao?s countryside development fund for 2011. (Joseph Jubelag)
