Floyd Mayweather’s personal bobo: Price of ignorance in America is Fifty Cent

BULLETIN: We now know the market price of ignorance in the United States. It is Fifty Cent.

What with Floyd Joy Mayweather Jr. headed into criminal court in Las Vegas on Thursday, perhaps for a no jail resolution to the “Baby Mama Drama” assault case involving ex-lover Josie Harris, his acolyte, rapper 50 Cent launched a Twitter attack on Manny Pacquiao Saturday.

Evidently, Mayweather’s boyfriend, a 35 year old multimillionaire who you might think has better things to do with his time, is studying ancient boxing history and has just discovered that–get this–Pacman lost fights in 2005, 1999 and 1996.

“THERE IS 3 WAYS TO BEAT STEROID PACQUIAO. HE HAS BEEN KNOCK OUT TWICE AND LOST A DECISION.

“I STAND BEHIND MY COUNTRY. USA ALL THE WAY”

Is that a half twit, my Pacquiao peeps? Help me out here.

I guess Curtis James Jackson, which is who he was when he was “KTD” (Known to Detectives) as a 12 year old crack peddler in South Jamaica, Queens, just found that, yes it is true, a developing and ill-handled Pacquiao did, in fact, lose by KO to Rustico Torrecampo in 1999 and to Medgoen Singsurat in 1996 and by decision to Hall Of Famer Erik Morales in 2005.

But, unlike Mayweather who is fearful of the chance of losing, Pacquaio looked into the mirror of defeat thrice and came back stronger and more determined than ever.

Maybe someone should inform Half A Buck, whose name and value never increases, that idol of idols Muhammad Ali finished his epic career with FIVE losses yet is a beloved worldwide idol who boldly made a place in history.

Joe Louis lost. Ditto for the great Jack Johnson. So did Sugar Ray Robinson, the ring marvel for whom the Pound for Pound rubric was practically invented. So did Sugar Ray Leonard, a fighter far superior to reluctant Mayweather.

And, as with Ali, the public embraced all but Johnson, a victim of widspread racism in his era. In this more enlightened age in America, political leaders are trying to legislate a pardon for his then “crimes” of consorting with white women so he’s become popular long after his death.

Overcoming defeat is a trait we admire in all athletes.

Only in America can a convicted drug peddler who cannot even spell the simple name of simple guy Charlie Sheen achieve multimillionaire status.

Mayweather and BFF Jackson, they know the price of fame.

But, judging by their continuing ignorant remarks on Pacquiao, they know the value of nothing.

I wish we could ignore them because their jealousy of Pacman is easy to see.

Half A Buck, Half Twit, you wanted attention and you got it.

But does Mayweather want the fight or is he content to only jab Manny via “social media?”

Let’s just give Mayweather his new title belts, King of Twitter, Champion of Facebook.

Pacquiao cannot compete with him on those fronts.

But I don’t see any signs of Mayweather wanting to visit Pacquiao’s office and that speaks louder than anything else.

As for Fitty, he’s no Drew “Bundini” Brown.

This guy floats like a water buffalo and stings like a moth.

Manny has his Buboy, Jackson is Floy’s bobo.

Sticks and stones may break Pacquiao’s bones…but you can’t bring them into the ring as weapons.
