The highly publicized court case between super featherweight star Manny Pacquiao and promoter Murad Muhammad has ended without going to the jury after parties settled today out of court. The development releases Pacquiao from Muhammad’s so-called “air-tight” contract making him a free agent. Muhammad has also agreed to cover Pacquiao’s court fees and dismiss a lawsuit filed against Pacquiao’s handlers. Pacman is now free to return to the ring in September, sans Murad.
