Team Pacquiao in disorder with Michael Koncz as the least understood Black Pope

Insider report from HOLLYWOOD, California – Team Pacquiao members must be on a high systolic reading as their Godfather Manny Pacquiao is scheduled to arrive in the US to kick off his press tour with Hall of Famer Sugar Shane Mosley, which is to set foot in Beverly Hills, California. Both fighters will exchange leathers on May 7 at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. Pacquiao will defend his WBO welterweight title.

But, there is more to address for Pacquiao than just attending the press tour. Internal issues of Team Pacquiao still linger even after years of toiling to quell the low intensity conflicts from within.

‘It’s like there’s a cold war within the camp,” says one member who speaks on condition of anonymity. “They share the food from the one table and also waste their ends in the same restroom but harbor grudges and unwarranted misunderstandings.”

“They fight for a space to get close to Manny, except those Cebuano-speaking members who are really genuine about their goings.”

However, many of them cannot really beat the intimacy of Michael Koncz with their idol. Manny gives his full trust to this man but everyone hates him because he has full access to Manny’s financial budget and he is empowered to influence decisions as to what affairs Manny should be involved in, he recounts.

Let me tell you others in the team are upbeat preparing to strke unscrupulous deals with their icon, only for a one-sided, underlying gain as much as they could fool, he adds.

On the other hand, Manny is reported to get cash advances from Top Rank as soon as he arrives in Los Angeles next week, at least forty-percent of what he will make out of his fight against Mosley.

Unless otherwise directed by Koncz, the ‘Black Pope’, Pacquiao’s finances will put himself into the quagmire of far worse mismanagement. Several key players are ready to take over Koncz’s de facto position in Team Pacquiao, he warns. “But, it’s just they are probably worse than what they think of Michael Koncz.”

“In March 2009, Pacquiao bought a five-bedroom, six-bath home at $2.17 million on North Plymouth Boulevard in the far edge of Melrose, technically not part of Hancock Park. Several certified brokers estimate it to cost around $ 1.2 million at the time of deep housing market crash. Others say it can range between $ 1.3 and 1.5 million,” he asserts.

“Manny could have bought a better house than that,” he laughs. “Contrary to the exageration by Filipino news reporters, it is not even a mansion. It looks like a small apartment complex from the outside.”

“I just hope Manny would one day wake up to reality,” says the middle-age man while scratching his head.”And I even doubt if Koncz can help much to control Manny’s sporadic cash outflows.”

“Manny is just too nice to everyone and I think he knows by now that many of the Team Pacquiao members are taking advantage of him.”

Koncz should lead Manny for the better, he adds.
