No jail for Roger or Floyd so Mayweather-Pacquiao blockbuster sure to happen

Maybe my next swing will be strike three, or strike four, as I’ve honestly lost count.

But, this time around, I am nailing it because it doesn’t take an Everlast Einstein to see and appreciate how the pieces of the puzzle are falling into place so that Manny Pacquiao’s second bout of 2011 will be, along about November, the ultimate blockbuster against undefeated master technician Floyd Mayweather Jr.

Herewitth the main reasons why–this time around–the players outside the ring and the two principals won’t let the jackpot of all jackpots escape them:

1. NO JAIL PLEA FOR UNCLE ROGER: Floyd may have been hestiant to fight anyone, let alone powerful Pacman, without his savvy and trusted uncle in the gym and in the corner. But the “Black Mamba” benefitted from some good lawyering Wednesday in Las Vegas when he gobbled up a no jail plea deal. Instead of going back to his Phi Slammer Jama fraternity of felonious fellowship, Roger will remain as free as bird and instead take a violence counseling program, do 50 hours of community service and, hopefully, refrain from choking people such as the complainant in this case, female fighter Melissa “Guard Your Grill” St. Vil. Roger must be thrilled with this legal conclusion but what about the victim?

2. NO JAIL PLEA FOR FLOYD: No reason that L’il Floyd will not get a similar stay out of the hoosegow plea from Clark County prosecutors. First, the DA’s office has some skepticism, based on a prior case and “Baby Mama” Josie Harris’ on the witness stand recantations of her credibility in or out of the courtroom. Second, they can have Mayweather do community service, put him on probation and make him attend a domestic violence/anger management class.

3. THE LEGACY FACTOR: I think Mayweather’s whole career rings hollow if he does not demonstrate superiority over Megamanny. In private moments, I bet Floyd might admit same. You think he likes strolling through a hotel-casino and hearing derisive chants of “Manny, Manny?” I think Floyd and Manny want their respective biggest purses ever and that the legacy factor is also meaningful to both. They don’t ever fight and it’s as pathetic as George Foreman andMike Tyson not colliding even after they boxed on the same show one night at Caesars Palace. Floyd and Manny can hypehnate like Leonard-Hearns and Ali-Frazier and take down crazy money so why not? At those prices, there is no real loser when they fight.

4. THE ARUM FACTOR: You think Uncle Bob wants ‘HE FAILED TO MAKE MAYWEATHER PACQUIAO’ on his tombstone? I don’t. With an 80th birthday looming large, how posterity regards Arum’s achievements matter.

5. THE MOSLEY YARDSTICK: Sugar Shane give it the old Pomona college try on May 7 but he won’t upset the Floyd-Manny apricot if you know what I mean. If Manny stops Mosley, it adds more sizzle to the Floyd-Manny matchup. 6. IT’S FOR THE NEEDY, NOT THE GREEDY: HBO powers that be are under pressure to land this whale as well. There’s so much money for everybody that they won’t screw the pooch again. Btw, what the hell does that mean, anyway?

Floyd-Manny, they will fight in 2011 as promised by me, the guy who’s promising this for the third successive year. I may seem like Rebecca of Sunnybrook Farm, or some other cockeyed optimist, but this I believe.

Of course, I also believed my Patriots would smack the Jets again and now I’m afflicted with Gang Green.

I mean, come on, what do you demanding people want from me?

I never said I am a Pigskin Prophet just an Everlast Einstein.

Like so many geniuses, true recognition of my superior wisdom and skills will come after my passing.

On other hand if Floyd-Manny does not go down this year, I better punt.
