What it do Kerm? So let?s get to it, I know that you have heard by now that Randall Bailey is being considered to face Andre Berto. What are your thoughts on that?
KC- Well If Berto thinks he is the fighter that he thinks he is then he should accept the challenge I put out for him. Fighting Bailey is embarrassing if you ask me. What does that tell you when your own team is offering you a fight like Bailey who is pretty much a shot fighter on his last days of boxing? It tells me that they don?t believe in Berto. I?ve never seen a champion being so damn protected as much as he is.
The problem I have with Berto/Bailey if it goes down is that in Berto?s last fight, Berto stated that he was done with appetizers and that he is ready for the main courses now. Berto also didn?t sound to convincing to me when being pressed if he wanted to fight Pacquiao next. I mean why fight someone that is just barely getting their feet wet at 147, when there is Kermit Cintron on the shelf waiting to get the call?
KC- Exactly?.. Berto can say all he wants but he knows deep down that he prefers appetizers and not the main courses. I?m waiting to get the call. I want the fight to happen. Its up to him to accept my challenge. We?ll see what kind of fighter he really is.
He can?t go and say that it?s a business move either, because I would imagine that Berto fighting yourself would bring more cake to the table than fighting Randall Bailey. Your thoughts?
KC- Hahaha I agree with you on it?s a business move. Berto has been making $900,000.00 and over for his last few fights. I?ve been fighting the best in the world and I haven?t made close to that. He thinks he is Mayweather but then again Al Haymon did the same with Mayweather. The difference is that Mayweather has fought great fighters and Berto continues to take the easy way out. Be a real champion and fight the best and earn your money. Don?t let Al Haymon and the rest of his team hand him the money that really don?t deserve to be making. The best business move for Berto, is to fight me. He will make a lot more money fighting me then fighting Bailey. The only problem is that he wont beat me.
I don?t see the logic behind some of the moves that Berto is pulling. I aint blind so I see that working with a certain someone is having him think low risk/high reward, but at the end of the day you need to face big names to get real tickets. Judah was there at 140 waiting for him and could have fought Berto at a catchweight as well but instead Berto went on to fight Urango. The rematch with Collazo looks to me like it will remain unfinished. Then he goes on to have a war of words with Molsey, so if I?m Mosley I tell Berto that I have way bigger fish to fry in Pacquiao so go holler at Kermit and see what kind of fire power he?s really working with. You are with DiBella as well so it aint hard to find you. What?s your take on the twitter war between Berto and Mosley? and on Berto?s most recent moves?
KC- I feel that Mosley does deserve the fight against Pac. Mosley has fought EVERY BODY. Mosley and I are alike when it comes to fighting whomever. We don?t back down from any fight. Berto in the other hand is to worry about his 0. All great champions and LEGENDS have losses. Berto is a big man in front of the computer twitting and doing what not. But when it comes to real challenges you don?t hear him saying YES lets do it. You hear him with EXCUSES. Its funny because Berto had the fight with Mosley and backed out. He didn?t want that fight anyways but now he?s back acting like he really wanted the fight. Mosley shouldn?t be wasting his time on twitting Berto. No reason for him to be looking back. He?s got a great opportunity against Pac and I wish him the best. I sure will be rooting for Mosley because he does deserve it. Its going to be a great fight between Pac and Mosley. If Berto wants to fight me witch I doubt that he does, he know where to find me. We both have the same promoter.
You used to wrestle back in the day and Berto used to wrestle as well, so a MMA style of fight would also be entertaining to see. Would you choke him out or knock his dome off with those tiny 4 ounce gloves?

You still working with Ronnie Shields out there in H-Town? If so, I bet my boy Brian Caldwell is working you out very good out there. When it comes to conditioning, Caldwell is a beast with it, he will work you out in the pool as well and all that crazy stuff. He knows what he is doing. How do you like working with those guys?
KC- I love working with Ronnie and Brian. I love the way they work together. Brian is a beast lol. I love his surprises when it comes to what you will be doing for that day workout wise. He likes working with me because I give it all and don?t complain. I refer Ronnie and Brian to any fighter that is serious with their careers. One thing I respect about Ronnie and Brian is that they both don?t mess around when is time to work. You don?t work they will send you home. I?ve seen it happen already. I wont mention any names. I always look forward to training camp because its hard work but at the same time they know how to make it fun too.
