When photographer Naoki Fukuda ventured to Las Vegas from Japan he admits the move was simply to get closer to the sport of boxing. Despite photographing in such locals as New York, Florida, Southern California and abroad, Fukuda does the bulk of his work in the fight capital of the world and he has learned to call the ringside apron his second home when chronicling a fight. Fukuda?s work can be found at RingTV.com amongst other outlets and he seems to have a fine knack for capturing the moment.
In this series titled ?Punishment from ringside? we take a look at some of the more brutal and graphic images captured by Fukuda. Boxing is a sport that simply isn?t for the feint of heart and Fukuda shares his thoughts on the punishing nature that comes along with his job.
