FanHouse first reported that eight-division titlist Manny Pacquiao (52-3-2, 38 knockouts) will defend his WBO welterweight (147 pounds) belt against three-division, five-time champion, Shane Mosley (46-6-1, 39 KOs) on May 7 in an HBO pay per view televised, Top Rank Promotions bout from the MGM Grand in Las Vegas where Pacquiao’s WBC junior middleweight (154 pounds) crown will not be on the line.
Mosley has split from Golden Boy Promotions. FanHouse sought the reactions of boxing community members regarding the announcement of the fight.
