SUSPECTED CROOK?S WIFE A SUPREME COURT JUSTICE!
When somebody told me that World featherweight champion Manny Pacquiao?s business manager Rod Nazario?s wife was a Supreme Court Justice in the Philippines, it made me laugh. Here is a man that I feel has shorted Pacquiao out of money, somebody whom I feel is nothing more then a crook. But after learning ironically that Nazario?s wife, Supreme Court Justice Minita Chico-Nazario, that she is most famous for fighting graft and corruption, well I almost fell out of my chair!
WHY DID NAZARIO MAKE THE CASE FOR MURAD?
Rod Nazario is the main, if not sole reason promoter Murad Muhammad has anything to do with Pacquiao still. After I exposed Murad?s getting the lions share of a $250,000 purse for an HBO match with Agapito Sanchez (Manny got $76,000), Nazario single handedly maneuvered Pacquaio back into the grip of Murad. But before we go any further on Nazario, we must point out that Murad never actually promoted a big card involving Pacquiao. Murad instead placed him in HBO curtain raisers and the like on shows promoted by Golden Boy Promotions (Lehlohonolo Ledwaba, Marco Antonio Barrera), and Top Rank on a number of occasions (Agapito Sanchez, Juan Marquez, Erik Morales).
MEET ?ROD THE ROACH? NAZARIO!
If you enter Rod Nazario in an Internet search, for the most part the results you?ll get back are all about his questionable handling of Pacquiao?s business matters. Take for example a November 27, 2003 article in a Manila newspaper that read. ?Nazario will have some explaining to do to justify the $350,000 dollars (about 19.3 million pesos) that Manny Pacquiao spent in training for his fight against Mexican idol Marco Antonio Barrera.?
?ROD THE ROACH? & THE TAXES HE SAYS WERE PAID!
According to those involved with a Legal team looking to rid Pacquiao of this cancerous duo, Nazario hasn?t paid Manny?s Taxes since at least 2001. Muhammad?s people say the IRS recently cleared Nazario on the issue in Florida. Early last week, ?Rod the Roach? told people he was flying home to the Philippines with Tax receipts in hand for all to see. Why didn’t he produce the documents Stateside?
PHILIPPINE MEDIA STOOGE IS FOOLING FANS!
In my opinion, it is not a coincidence that every time Filipino scribe Ronnie Nathanielsz pens something, it mirrors a press release or ?talking papers? approved and released by ?Rod the Roach.? Unfortunately, this man is a major cog in the Philippine media wheel. In reality I believe Mr. Nathanielsz is a ?Disinformation Machine,? whose sole intent is to make readers believe that ?Murad the Moron? and ?Rod the Roach,? that they are doing great things for Pacquiao, when that certainly is not the case as I view matters from this perch!
ABSENT PAY PER VIEW CLAUSE MADE MURAD MILLIONS!
In every instance in which a fighter is guaranteed a certain amount of money in a fight broadcast on Pay Per View, his manager sees that there is an ?Upside? clause! What this insures is that if the PPV does better then expected, then the fighter will enjoy some additional monies. The promoter and boxer usually split any revenues if the fight does beyond the projected buy amount. Business manager Rod Nazario, it was his role to see that this was in Pacquiao?s contract that Murad had Manny sign to fight Erik Morales last month. His failure to have this on paper is either an indictment of his ability as an advisor, or a clear indication that Nazario?s a crook! Which is it boxing fans?
FINKEL AND TEAM OF LAWYERS IN EL LAY WITH ?PAC-MAN?
Another Pacquiao advisor, Shelly Finkel of New York greeted Manny in Los Angeles upon his arrival Thursday. It is believed that they in turn met with some high-priced Legal talent that will attempt to act as ?Exterminators with Legal Pesticides? looking to vanquish both ?Rod the Roach? and ?Murad the Moron.?
SCENARIO ONE THAT SHOULD SHAME PRESIDENT ARROYO!
Look, Philippine President Gloria Arroyo met with Pacquiao in private a fortnight ago. The featherweight champion voiced his problems and concerns with President Arroyo. But in a country controlled by the Supreme Court, Mrs. Arroyo might be nothing more then an impotent figurehead. I feel the only way to get the Government to take a hard look at the nefarious Nazario, is for the Filipino fight fans to take to the streets and demonstrate!
MASS CIVIL STRIKE AND WORK STOPPAGE FOR ?PAC-MAN? NEEDED!
I am proposing that the Filipino people that say they love and back Pacquiao, that the ?Pacland? folks organize a one-hour national Labor stoppage. To get a matter as important as this addressed, radical steps need to be taken. And by halting work for one hour all across the country for their hero, a show of “Pac-Man” support will make the entire Supreme Court realize that one of their own, Minita Chico-Nazario, that she is married to ?Rod the Roach!?
