Subject: Manny Pacquiao?s Finances

A recent article here at www.RingTalk.com read: ?With Murad Muhammad and Rod Nazario handling Manny Pacquiao?s affairs, he might need to get a day job before the cut has healed just to make ends meet! I for one, I cannot believe the Filipino people have not asked the Philippine Government to get involved in this scandal. For it doesn?t take a psychic to realize Pacquiao has been shorted by Murad, and given poor advice by his Philippine advisor Rod Nazario.?

Dear Pedro,

Thanks for the great article. We at Pacland have started a number of threads calling for the government to interfere regarding Mr. Nazario’s handling of Pacman. We know that Pacman has been a close ally of Pres. Arroyo, and anything that has to do with Pacman she would definitely listen to especially if Pacman is being shortchanged. In fact in Manny’s most recent visit to Malacanang, Manny asked our President to give all world champion boxers who has brought our country pride to have a life time pension from the government.. Mrs. Arroyo granted Pacman’s request.

It was a great move, now we won’t be seeing our former Champs suffering from poverty after they lost their belt, whether it is because of some corrupt practices by the managers like what happened to our former WBC 126 king Louie Espinosa, or because of the boxer’s mishandling of his money earned during his career, like what happened to our Rolando Navarette. I know Mr. Navarette has only himself to blame but that sudden rise to fame accompanied by money.

Going back to the Murad/Nazario handling of Pacquiao’s career. Most of us believe they both have to go. If you would chance upon www.mannypacquiao.ph the poll on “Who do want to be oustted from Team Pacquiao.” Murad is a clear leader with more than 80% vote based on the almost 8,500 respondents. It is very clear to us that these two (MM and RN) should go. It would only take a short time before we can come up with a formal request or move regarding this and President Arroyo.

Subject: Katz According To Lampley

Great column on Michael Katz. He might be the worst and most biased boxing writer there is. It?s time to hang ?em up Fatz. HBO?s Jim Lampley said it best one time leading to an Oscar De La Hoya fight referring to Katz picking Fernando Vargas to beat Oscar. “Katz doesn’t count,” couldn’t have said it better myself.

One more thing. What is up with the Cancer of boxing Bernard Hopkins scratching his fight with Jermain Taylor because he wants all the PPV revenue for the rematch should Taylor win? Are you kidding me? You?re telling me Hopkins can set a contract so he will receive all the revenue on top of his base pay for a big rematch that Taylor would have to win to force?

I thought Hopkins left his con days behind. What is he trying to do set up a contract that would give him $5 million reasons to throw the first fight? Wasn’t Hopkins supposedly screwed throughout his career, why is he now screwing Taylor? “OK Taylor yeah you beat me and I?m taking all the money in the rematch.” How?s that conversation going to go over?

Maxbernard, I mean maxboxing.com has come up with the Taylor is waiting for Hopkins to retire in an ?X-Files? conspiracy theory which is almost as laughable as the contract itself. Time to start putting some blame on Bernard for this always happening, but I honestly think maxboxing is the place that?ll be done!

Subject: Walking Picket Line With ?Yory Boy? Campas

Pedro,

Rest assured I, with my United Auto Workers background, was on the line in Phoenix, with you and the others, who dared to challenged the Arizona Commissioner John Montano, and others. I like your ‘Spunk’ Kid. This needs to be done.

Another thing, the ‘Grilling’ you gave that Michael Katz, I say hooray!!! When is he going to ditch that ****** neck brace?

Pedro,

I admire your courage and dedication in cleaning up boxing. As well as your objective presentation of the facts. Keep them coming! I wish you could give your honest opinion of Manny Pacquiao and his problem with guys like Murad Muhammad and Juan Nazario. Each day, the issue is becoming more and more confusing as to who’s telling the truth.

Regards,

Sikudi

Dear Sikudi,

I was the first to write on this several years ago when Manny got less than Murad Muhammad for fighting Agapito Sanchez. I implored Manny not to sign with Murad. Reportedly Lou Di Bella had worked out a deal with Manny in regards to promotion. But supposedly Rod Nazario steered him back to Murad Muhammad.
