MANILA, Philippines – Newly-crowned World Boxing Council (WBC) super welterweight champion and Sarangani Rep. Manny Pacquiao said on Saturday that it was impossible to “meet and greet” all his fans at his concert in Vallejo, California.
“Oo, hindi naman. Siguro dalawang araw aabutin iyon kung lahat sila, ‘di ba?” Pacquiao said in an exclusive interview with ABS-CBN correspondent Dyan Castillejo while en route to Manila from Los Angeles.
Pacquiao said that as much as possible, he would have wanted to pose with all of his fans and sign autographs at the Vallejo concert, but they were just too many, adding that he had a very tight schedule.
Pacquiao said that he would like to repeat his concerts at Vallejo, and at Lake Tahoe along the border of Nevada and California. He added that what he liked most during the events was the meet-and-greet with his fans.
“Sana palaging ganoon, may meet-and-greet sa iba’t ibang sulok ng California,” he added.
A majority of 250 fans who came to Hiddenbrooke Golf Club in California for the concert were able to get a close up of Pacquiao.
However, some fans who failed to have their pictures taken with their boxing idol were disappointed.
They complained that they had been assured by the organizers of the event that they would be given a chance to pose with their idol.
They said the assurance is printed in their ticket, which said: “Good for one official Manny Pacquiao photo; Keep this ticket to redeem your photo.”
