Manny Pacquiao-Antonio Margarito: The Experts’ Poll (including Alexander, Clottey and many more)

IF you have read this week’s Boxing News, out today, you will already know what Danny Flexen believes is going to happen in the Manny Pacquiao-Antonio Margarito fight this Saturday. But we did not think that was enough for you so we asked 25 experts – boxers, trainers, journalists, a manager and a promoter, including seven current or former ‘world’ champions – for their views.

Carson Jones (Oklahoma light-middleweight, was supposed to face Margarito in his comeback fight)

Pacman by knockout. Not only does he throw a high volume of punches, he lands a high volume.

Steve Bunce (writer and broadcaster)

Pacquiao wins on points. Too fast. He could even stop Margarito late. His speed and movement is too much for this Margarito. Pac on points.

John Murray (European lightweight champion)

Pacman on points. His speed will be too much.

George Groves (Commonwealth super-m
