During last weekend?s open media workout for Manny Pacquiao at the Wild Card Boxing Club in Los Angeles I crossed paths with Top Rank photographer Chris Farina. Working out of Las Vegas, Nevada for much of the past twenty years, Farina has captured some of boxing?s finest moments on film during his tenure with the sport?s premier promotional company and we talked in depth about just how hectic his job truly is. From covering high profile events at the MGM Grand to seeing first hand how the superstars of the sport live their lives, Farina has been in able to take in the world of boxing from a very rare perspective.
Farina told me that he is at his busiest when a fight with Pacquiao is drawing near and noted that he often only gets a few hours of sleep when chronicling all of the events associated with the Filipino star. That being said, Monday must have certainly have been another hectic one for Farina as he was on hand for another Pacquiao workout at the Wild Card gym before venturing backstage to get some shots of Manny during his preparation for his appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live.

Pacquiao has become a fixture on the show in recent years and can often be seen practicing his karaoke skills along with his conversations with the 42-year old host. Joining Pacquiao on this particular visit was comedian Will Ferrell as well as former Miss Universe contestant Ines Sainz. Pacquiao faces off with Antonio Margarito on November 13th at the Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas with the vacant WBC junior middleweight championship on the line and Sainz will be hosting several events during the week of the fight.
Pacquiao has less than a week left in Los Angeles before venturing out to Texas and the reports from his camp are varying as to how sharp he is looking. We will found out soon enough.
Expect more from Farina later in the week?
