Who else is there for Nonito at 115lbs? Vic Darchinyan doesn’t want anymore of him. There are really no big names at 118lbs, but at 122lbs just 7 pounds north we have Wilfredo Vazquez Jr. who has been on a rampage lately. You might ask about the 7lb difference but look at their stature, Nonito is 5’6 with a 68 inch reach advantage and Wilfredo is 5’6 with only a 66 reach. The favor actually works in Nonito Donaires favor. Not only that but Nonito has fought a few times at 118lbs. There would not be a problem for Nonito to make that jump and still be strong and have power.
We think that Wilfredo Vazquez Jr. would love to make that fight. It’s a big name and everybody would get a nice payday. This would be a PPV that people would not mind paying $50 bucks for that fight. Even if the undercard was not that stacked. Now if you really wanted to give the fans their money’s worth you would make them the undercard of Juanma Lopez vs Yuriokis Gamboa. That would be spectacular. All parties involved and even the fans would not walk away disappointed.
