I got in my workout today at the Wild Card Boxing Club earlier and it was a relatively quiet day. It?ll be one of the last before Manny Pacquiao and crew hit town as they wind down their preperations for their November 13th date against Antonio Margarito. From what I?m told, this will absolutely be a closed camp, more cut off and restricted than ever before. Outside of a media day next week, this gym will be on lockdown between 12:30 and the time that Pacquiao finishes.
Complicating things are that other high-profile fighters like Amir Khan and Julio Cesar Chavez Jr (who is expected to arrive next week). So everyone at the gym, from clients, to fighters to staff members have been told, no exceptions for anyone. The Wild Card is off-limits to anyone not directly involved with Pacquiao and Roach for the next few weeks.
I just wonder, does this give credence to some of the reports of a less-than-stellar camp for ?the Pac Man? in the Philippines?.
