DALLAS, TX – Don’t expect nearly as much pomp or other festivities between now and the November 13 Manny Pacquiao vs. Antonio Margarito fight as there were for the Pacquiao vs. Clottey fight last March.
Promoter Top Rank has already decided to do without a fight card the night before the Cowboys Stadium HBO PPV card.
The grand Gaylord Texan Resort in nearby Grapevine will again act as the host hotel for the event for both main event fight camps.
No word yet if those mysterious giant red boxing gloves that adorned street corners in downtown Dallas will reappear either but what else would they be saved for?
Team Margarito has let it leak out that they may travel from Oxnard, CA to Texas as much as two weeks early to get acclimated so they may add a sparring or autograph session or two for the public as we get closer to the event.
Margarito is almost confirmed for an open public workout Sunday November 7 at La Gran Plaza in nearby Fort Worth.
It’s possible Pacquiao doesn’t arrive until the Monday night (November 8th) before the Saturday fight.
