Domingo eyes KO

FACING a South African in his hometown is difficult as it is but with two South African judges assigned to that fight, letting it go the distance may not be advisable.

That is the situation veteran Filipino warrior Michael Domingo is up against in his International Boxing Federation (IBF) bantamweight title eliminator and he will make sure the judges won?t decide his fate, by either scoring a knockout or having a commanding performance.

?Yes, we expected that because that is the risk of fighting outside the country.

Domingo knows that he has to dominate the fight and not give it to the judges to decide,? ALA Promotions president Michael Aldeguer told Sun.Star Cebu.

Domingo, 31, is up against former world title challenger Vusi Malinga at the Wembley Arena in Johannesburg, South Africa on Oct. 30.

IBF president Daryl Peoples assigned Larry Dogget of the US as referee while Polish Miroslaw Brozio and South Africans Neville Hotz and Jaap Van Niewenhuizen are the judges.

Only way

?He has to be aggressive and dominate the fight. A knockout or a shutout is the only way he will win,? said Aldeguer.
