Karma, you reap what you sow, what comes around goes around, however you want to look at it, Floyd Mayweather Jr is getting all of it. I firmly believe that what a man puts out into the world, he will in time get back. It may not happen today, or tomorrow, but sooner or later a man gets what he has coming to him.
Floyd Mayweather Jr has had ample opportunity to fight Manny Pacquiao and for whatever reason he chose not to. Manny Pacquiao on the other hand rolls on and continues to do the right things. The man is a class act and deserves to be treated by such.
There are a small pocket of folks and a few writers that are trying to get people to boycott the fight against Margarito. I have a strange position on this because in my opinion I don’t think that Margarito should have been allowed to ever fight again. My position has not changed, however I do believe that now that the fight has been made, we need to get behind it and support it. It’s not Manny Pacquiao’s fault that he’s not fighting Mayweather, and he should not be faulted for agreeing to fight Margarito.
It’s amazing how things work out, and usually for the better for those who act right. Manny Pacquiao has not done a thing wrong to anyone, and he remains at the top of the mountain. Floyd Mayweather on the other hand has said and done a laundry list of bad things, and if convicted is looking at jail time.
Mississippians that once 100 percent supported Floyd are no longer doing so. I spoke to a bunch of Mayweather fans while covering the “Clash in the cage” match in Byram, MS. More than half of the Mayweather fans that I spoke with no longer support him, and were all disgusted by his recent racial attack on Manny Pacquiao. I spoke with USA Boxing’s President of the Mid South area, Stan Nichols, who resides in Brandon, MS. Nichols position is that Floyd needs to act like a man and stop with the bad behavior because he’s an icon in the sport of boxing. Floyd’s face and name is huge in boxing, and hopefully one day he will turn things around.
Pacquiao and Mayweather, two great fighters going in opposite directions. Manny stands alone at the top of the mountain. Floyd has court dates, attorney fees, and the worry of spending time in jail. It’s not complicated, just do the right things in life, and more than likely you will enjoy the benefits of good deeds. Manny doesn’t have to worry about legal issues and jail because he puts out into the world good and positive things, and good and positive things come back to him. It’s simple as that.
