Tim Bradley can’t draw flies to dump, so fire promoter Shaw

Big Gary Shaw, garrulous and overbearing fight promoter, makes gossip maven Perez Hilton (50 Cent’s pal) look like a mime.

But not when it comes to the brusing topic of the HBO dream fight between 140 pound champions Tim “Desert Storm” Bradley (a Shawtime guy) and Don King promoted Devon Alexander, Shaw is running completely silent.

I, for one, do not blame the bloated New Jerseyite.

It looked like this hot match was on for Jan. 29, sort of a Super Bowl level kickoff for the prime cable netork enroute to a glorious 2011.

Shaw, who papered the house with his own green cash to fill up 1,800 empty seats in Bradley’s hometown last time out, is getting lousy treatment from the fighter.

Bradley could not draw flies to the proverbial dump and yet he wants Shaw to work hard knowing he will get dumped abruptly come May, 2011.

Normally, I look at all promoters with a jaundiced eye but sources inform me that Bradley should be bowing and saying I am not worthy to Shawtime.

Shaw got HBO to bite for a 90 days later rematch on the Jan. 29 bout regardless of win, lose, draw, DQ or double DQ.

Bradley would get a purse a bit above $1 million for both bouts not to mention the chance to become a boxing household name on HBO.

At Showtime, Bradley has been a blip on the radar screen for most fans.

You know what?

Shaw should get fired.

He did his job too well, so shoot him.
