Erik Morales wins by 6th round KO!- So what does the win really mean? Is El Terrible really back to punish foes? I have yet to see the entire fight, but the footage I did see was the 6th round, the round that showed Morales killing Limond?s liver. The placement of the punches and the movement from side to side looked real good to me, but what stuck out best in my mind was when one of Morales?s cornermen tried to lift Morales on his shoulders afterward ended up falling because he couldn?t lift him. I believe that Morales weighed in at 143 the day before, if he plans on fighting at 140, Morales is going to have to work harder than that.
Klitschko KO?S Peter!- Duh?Did you think Peter had a real chance? I know that Samuel Peter is strong, very strong. I also can see that he has a lot of power in that punch of his, I also know that he has put Klitschko down before. Unless you would have inserted the heart of Evander and the brains of Bernard in Peter, then there was no way Peter would beat this Klitschko. Why you ask? Because the Klitschko of then, is not the Klitschko of now.
Bam Bam Rios- Before the fight, I was telling my boy how good I think Anthony Peterson is. Round 1 goes by and my words are so far golden. Then round 2 follows and then my words begin to look shaky. Round 3 makes my words look dirty. By round 4 my words are pretty much shot. Bam Bam looked like Maidana in there. But listen, a while back, I mentioned that Rios and Victor Ortiz will meet in the future in a De La Hoya/Vargas bad blood type of event. My words are starting to look good again.
Gamboa (Photo above ) the speed demon- Gamboa is lightning quick that we all know, but his showboating has got to stop or at the very least be toned down. If Gamboa drops his hands against JuanMa, it could be lights out. Because unlike Salido, JuanMa hits like a ton of bricks. But what keeps it even for me is that I don?t think that Lopez has half the heart and courage that Salido displayed last night. How can I say this about a fighter that has gotten up after being knocked down by Bernabe and had to dig deep against Mtagwa? Just call it a hunch.
Ricky Hatton- I?m sure we all have seen the tape by now. At first I joked and said, forget getting the pints of brew out of England, let?s get the coke out of England. First Calzaghe and now Hatton. But this is no laughing matter if that really is Ricky Hatton and not no genetic look alike freak in that video, get that man some real help fast.
