The local news reported that this bout was a close affair but the Thai fighter was favored because of his more accurate punches. Scored: 96-94,95-94 and 98-92 for the retaining champion. Yodgoen, a former Muay thai champion, kept his WBC youth belt for the second time. In other action, former WBC flyweight champion Medgoen Singsurat (69-6, 47 KOs) won a six round unanimous decision over Pathomchai Pathomphothong.
