Papa Mayweather: Pacquiao, Pinoys need to be mellow yellow

Thanks to the erudite Floyd Mayweather Sr. for explaining that no racial/ethnic insult was meant by his son when he called Manny Pacquiao a “yellow midget.”

According to Floyd Dr., speaking to FightHype.com, there was no need for Junior to apologize because the specific color mentioned was not a reference to Manny’s Filipino heritage.

No way, Don Jose, Pere Mayweather explained.

“Yellow” preceded the midget part because the Mayweathers believe that Pacman is a coward, that he’s got a yellow streak down his back.

Pere Mayweather takes no position on the so called sport of dwarf tossing.

He did not mention, either, how “midget” rhymes nicely with “widget.”

Come on, let’s tell the whole story.

Added reasons why Floyd Jr. called Pacquiao a yellow-colored dwarf are:

1. Floyd Jr. really loves the old Donovan song, “Mellow Yellow.”

2. It was a reminder to all skiers not to eat the “yellow snow” at higher elevations.

3. “Yellow” rhymes with “fellow” and can easily fit into a Floyd Sr. rap poem. (Not to mention that also rhymes with Jello although FM Sr. would never improperly use a trademark name.)

4. Floyd Jr., as a kid, loved the old Disney movie about the kid and the dog, “Old Yeller.”

5. The Mayweathers always heard that if you’re white you’re right, if you brown, stick around, if you’re black you’ve got to get back and if you’re yellow, you should take up the cello.

6. If JM Marquez can talk about ingesting his own urine in training on HBO, then what’s the big deal about “yellow midgets?” Now you know, you yellow-bellied sapsuckers.

(Btw, does Marquez put out nonsensical in Spanish rants on Yellostream?)

No offense.
