?Jaca vs. Cuevas will end in KO?

JIMREX Jaca and Pepino Cuevas could steal the thunder from the main event fighters when they meet in the undercard of the Philippines vs. The World on Aug. 28.

?I?m looking forward to that fight because of the style of Jimrex and Pipino. This fight could be at par with the main event or could be the fight of the night,? ALA Promotions president Michael Aldeguer told Sun.Star Cebu.

Because both fighters are heavy-handed, Aldeguer believes the bout between Jaca and Cuevas will end in a knockout.

?Pipino has lost by knockout and has beaten his opponents by knockouts. The same goes for Jimrex as well. Whoever throws the biggest punch first will definitely win. The way I look at it, someone?s going to get knocked out,? said Aldeguer.

Jaca has knocked out 15 foes in his 30 victories but has been knocked out four times out of six losses. Cuevas, on the other hand, has 12 knockouts out of his 14 wins but has been stopped in all of his five defeats.

This is Jaca?s biggest test since his short retirement and his first Mexican opponent since his gallant stand against Mexican superstar Juan Manuel Marquez in 2006.

The 27-year-old Filipino was stopped by Marquez in the ninth round of a World Boxing Organization feather weight title bout.

?He is very motivated. This is the turning point of his career,? said Aldeguer.

Also seeing action in one of the biggest boxing promotions of ALA Promotions since ?The Moment of Truth? in 2007 are world-rated Milan Melindo and former International Boxing Federation mini-flyweight champion Florante Condes.
