MAYBE, there?s really something to this Gayweather thing. Or maybe it?s envy.
Floyd Mayweather Jr. showed that he is still hot for Manny Pacquiao, circulating a profane, racist and expletive-loaded rant directed against Pacquiao, who will face Antonio Margarito on Nov. 13 at Cowboys Stadium near Dallas.
Mayweather said during the video that he?s on vacation ?for about a year,? but would easily defeat Pacquiao after that.
Pacquiao dismissed the derogatory online video posted by Mayweather Jr., calling it an ?uneducated message.?
Mayweather claims Pacquiao ?can?t speak no English? and then insulted him by saying has ?never seen a contract he didn?t like.? He also made suggestions that the Filipino sensation has used performance-enhancing drugs.
?It?s a really cheap low blow, but again, consider where it came from,? said Pacquiao trainer Freddie Roach. ?We tried to fight him. He said no. He doesn?t want to fight.?
Fans have been clamoring for Mayweather to fight Pacquiao, but negotiations have repeatedly broken down.
It is unclear when the Mayweather video was made. Mayweather apparently tried to ambush Pacquiao and steal his thunder.
When asked about the possibility of a Mayweather bout, Pacquiao responded: ?I?m not looking for that fight. I?m satisfied with what I?ve done in boxing already.?
It is common knowledge that Pacquiao said he?s only planning a couple of more fights before retiring, though he gave no indication of who the opponents might be. The seven-division champion said that he would still accept to face Mayweather.
Todd duBoef of promoter Top Rank said he had heard about the Mayweather video but ?probably? didn?t have any interest in seeing it. Mayweather used to be a Top Rank fighter.
Pacquiao?s next opponent Antonio Margarito (38-6, 27 KOs) was denied an application to fight in California and had another application rejected in Nevada before the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation last week approved his application. That cleared the way for another high-profile boxing match at Cowboys Stadium, the $1.2 billion showplace built by Cowboys owner Jerry Jones.
So, why is Mayweather so gay for Pacquiao? Is he a coward trying to cover up his fear with his bluster and empty talk? Is he just envious of a more successful rival? Or is he a genius continuing to hype an upcoming bout?

Even if Team USA does not win the gold in the world championships, Kevin Durant is already a clear winner.
The tournament?s most dominant player is probably forward Luis Scola of Argentina. The big bruiser has scored at least 30 points in four of five games. He is averaging 29 points from a field goal rate of 60 percent. Scola, coming from a great season for the Rockets, has long been an exceptional scorer in international competition.
But Durant remains arguably the best player in the competition right now.
The Americans have not won this competition since 1994. Also their lineup feels more like a ?B? roster as shown by their narrow escape. Still, no other team has looked any better.
Turkey and Lithuania, the other unbeaten teams, aren?t that highly regarded. Spain and Argentina, undoubtedly Team USA?s biggest threats, have also proven vulnerable because they will be playing without some of their best players as well. Displaying the best depth and talent the US has a pretty good shot at winning the title for the first time since 1994.
