He was well beaten by Cotto but not embarassed and by all accounts was carrying an injury. I certainly dont think this was a defeat that will hold him back from getting another title shot, but who would be a good opponent for him next?
Before the Cotto fight he was even touted as a possible Pacquiao opponent, with a World title at another weight on offer for Manny. This seems unlikely now and Marg will prob face Manny. I wouldn’t be too interested in a Cotto rematch and dont think Cotto would see any value in it.
A rematch with Bundrage could appeal to him with the first fight being a no contest and the IBF title on offer. It is a fight I would expect Foreman to win and would put him right back in the mix. Should Ryan Rhodes win in September he will also be chasing a world title shot and he may fancy his chances against Foreman. Could be some exciting fights made at light middle with Williams and Martinez knocking about as well.
