Manny Pacquiao among the top 100 celebrities of the world but not among the Philippines’ 40 richest

HOLLYWOOD, California – The world stage at Forbes is not easy to access for popularity especially these days, considering the thousands, if not hundreds of thousands, of celebrities all over the world. But, Manny Pacquiao has made it to top 100. He was elected a member of Congress of the Philippines in May. Pacquiao spent a reported $7 million on the campaign. He earned $35 million for his two fights against Joshua Clottey and Miguel Cotto.

Meanwhile, Pacquiao still does not belong to the Philippines’ forty richest figures in the Philippines, according to Forbes. Philippines’ Wealthiest Perhaps the most striking rise of Pacquiao in the boxing world may have already metamorphosed into ‘pure entertainment and politics’. Known for his keen intellect and his ability to mesmerize the audience, his ‘tectonic era’ in the fist- fight may have reached the plateau, which may just be perfect time time for him to concentrate on his newly elected tasks as Congressman of Sarangani, Philippines, even though the boxing public wants him back for more. A farewell fight before the close of this year is not bad at all. But, filming a Hollywood movie of him can be more appealing and enriching for him at this greatest moment of his popularity
