DALLAS, TX – Dallas super bantamweight (122 lbs.) Roberto Marroquin has teamed up with world-renowned trainer Freddie Roach and his Wild Card Gym in Hollywood, CA.
Marroquin, 14-0 (11 KO’s), already has a promotional contract with Bob Arum’s Top Rank, Inc. of Las Vegas, NV.
Roach trains the world’s No.1 pound for pound fighter in Manny Pacquiao and junior lightweight champion Amir Khan among others.
Roach was named the Trainer of the Year in 2003, 2006, 2008, and 2009 by the Boxing Writer’s Association of America.
Marroquin, a 5’5 southpaw, currently trains at Vivero Boxing Club under Raul Martinez and Hector Pina in Dallas.
Marroquin is next scheduled to fight July 31 on a Top Rank card in Tepic, Nayarit, Mexico in a scheduled six-round bout.
