It does appear as if Antonio Margarito will be Manny Pacquiao’s next opponent, but it’s not done yet. If however the contracts do get signed, another thrashing will be dealt out by Manny Pacquiao. Antonio Margarito is a tough guy don’t get me wrong, but he will be a human punching bag against the much faster Manny Pacquiao.
Margarito is a big tall fighter, but his height will not help him once he gets into the ring. He doesn’t move his head, and he doesn’t move laterally enough in order to elude the onslaught that will be coming his way. Pacquiao will invite Margarito in, and in typical Mexican warrior type fashion, Margarito will accept the invitation. This will not bode well for the tornado, and by the 7th or 8th round he will be a bloody mess.
In typical Pacquiao fashion, the tide will be coming in and little by little Margarito will look more and more like a butchered hog. The speed and pinpoint accuracy of Pacquiao’s punches will take their toll. Do we really want to see another fight like this? Well I guess for those who are still mad at Margarito for cheating, they will get some satisfaction out of seeing it.
Mississippians that I have spoken to about this fight pretty much all agree that it will be a certain victory for Manny Pacquiao. I spoke with a boxing fan from the Time Out Lounge, in Jackson, Mississippi about this fight earlier this afternoon. Steve Sanders of Jackson isn’t too impressed with the choice of opponent for Manny’s next fight, “Margarito will get beat up, chewed up, and spit out. He is too slow, and he will suffer the same consequence that all of Manny’s other opponents have suffered.”

As the great former Oakland Raiders football coach, John Madden used to say, “Speed kills” and Manny’s speed will be way too much for the Mexican brawler to handle.
Once again after this fight concludes, one guy will be smiling and waving at his fans, and the other guy will be inspecting the inside of his eye lids. The guy smiling at the fans will be a Congressman.
