While Manny Pacquiao fulfills his congressional responsibilities, and waits for Floyd Mayweather Jr’s response, there are numerous fighters standing in line to challenge boxing’s pound-for-pound top fighter. Just recently, Shane Mosley said he wants to face Manny Pacquiao. In addition to Mosley, JUan Manuel Marquez has gone into a full court press with trying to bait Manny into a fight. But should the PacMan consider either fighter as a future opponent? Let’s examine further: According to Fanhouse, Mosley wants to get a shot at Manny Pacquiao. Money is said to be Mosley’s biggest motivator at this stage of his career. “If I could map out my career from now on out, I’m just ready to make some more money. I’ve gone through some personal stuff, so I’ve got to recoup everything that I’ve lost and go from there. But in order to do that, I just need to go out and do what I know how to do in the ring,” Mosley, Fanhouse In my opinion, Manny has nothing to prove in facing Shane Mosley. There’s no benefit for Manny after Floyd Mayweather Jr destroyed Shane. Manny needs to face fighters that will add to his legacy like Mayweather Jr or face Miguel Cotto for his 154 pound title.
