What if it doesn’t happen? What if this big super fight between the two biggest names in boxing doesn’t happen? Let’s take a look at some of the things that I think would happen, and why it would hurt boxing. Firstly, the fans would be deprived of a fight that this sport has lacked for many years. Do you think Pacquiao fans are hard on Mayweather now? Imagine what they would be saying if this fight fails to push through. Think it’s bad now?
Secondly, the sport would suffer another black eye. The UFC fans would laugh, and guys like Dana White (CEO UFC) would smirk, and roll the eyes a bit.
A Floyd Mayweather Vs. Manny Pacquiao fight would really ignite the boxing blood of not only the current fans, but it would also bring some of the fans that left the sport back into it. Boxing has lost some of it’s fans over the years due to the amount of sanctioning bodies, belts, and a heavyweight division that is about exciting as watching paint dry.

Mayweather Vs. Pacquiao as Evander Holyfield said is, “The ultimate good Vs. Bad fight.” It has all of the elements to fire up the masses and send the PPV numbers through the roof. It’s two guys that bring equal danger to one another, and the fight has a story to tell as well. The HBO 24/7 episodes of Mayweather Vs. Pacquiao would be something not to miss.
If this fight does not push through, both the fans and the sport gets robbed. It’s a must fight, it has to happen in order to lift this sport up to where it belongs again.
The implications are plenty if this fight fails to happen. Let us hope that the boxing God’s above make the call and we see the sports two best fighters square off against one another.
