These negotiations between Floyd Mayweather Jr and Manny Pacquiao are starting to become like something out of the Twilight Zone. One week we hear about the latest demands from Mayweather Jr and the next week we hear that Team Mayweather deny any negotiations with Manny. Floyd Mayweather Sr was the latest member from Team Mayweather to come out and claim that there aren’t any negotiations going on between the two sides. Manny Pacquiao is going toe-to-toe with Floyd Mayweather Jr in the negotiations In an interview with 8 Count News, Floyd Mayweather Sr claims that, to his knowledge, there aren’t any negotiations going on between Team Mayweather and Team Pacquiao. “As far as I know right now, there isn’t any (negotiations) that I know of.” My Examiner colleague, Brad Cooney, followed up with a question to clarify Floyd Sr’s comments and the elder Mayweather responded again by denying any negotiations: “Not that I know of. No.” Normally, I would say that Maybe Floyd Mayweather Sr is in another world and doesn’t realize the reality of things. But, Floyd Sr isn’t the only one denying negotiations. Now, I’m not talking about the standard comments from Richard Schaefer and Bob Arum that say “no comment” or refuse to even acknowledge any negotiations. I’m talking about members of Team Mayweather categorically denying any and all negotiations between the two fighters.
