EXCLUSIVE REPORT from Malacanang Palace, MANILA, Philippines, June 10, 2010 – Hot celebrities inclusive of Congressman-elect of the lone district of Sarangani Manny Pacquiao will significantly be highlighted for this year?s 112th Independence Day celebration on June 12.
Pacquaio has been known as instrumental in strengthening and preventing chaotic inroads during the heights of President and now Congresswoman-elect of the second district of Pampanga Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo.
“Pacquiao has helped the administration of Arroyo from the possibility of being overthrown by both military and civilian sectors,” says Lawyer-Journalist Rene Buenaventura. “But, each time Pacquiao fights, he helps calm the politically stormy Philippines and it’s like the spirit of the Living God is in him.”
“That’s why I must say, the Arroyo administration owes him a lot,” adds Buenaventura in an exclusive interview with this writer.
Meanwhile, as Pacquiao readies himself to engage his congressional duties, out-going Congressman Erwin Chongbian keeps his team busy preparing his team to formally meet Pacquiao for the transition reports and blueprint for the lone district of Sarangani. The report includes functional, operational and transitional aspects of the said legislative post.
Chongbian also offers to assist Pacquiao in matters of orienting about the bureaucracy and challenges of the said district.
In another development, according to the same wire report, the military will pay tribute to President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo, who is also the commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of the Philippines, with a testimonial parade and review tomorrow (Friday, June 11)at the AFP headquarters in Camp General Emilio Aguinaldo, Quezon City.
The report says a testimonial parade and review is a time-honored military tradition wherein retiring military commanders are usually given the last chance to review and bid farewell to the troops.
Nevertheless,Arroyo will bow out of office on June 30 but will continue government service as Representative of the 2nd District of Pampanga when the 15th Congress opens on the same day.
The report further says Camp Aguinaldo ceremonies will start the arrival honors for the President led by Defense Secretary Norberto Gonzales and AFP Chief of Staff Gen. Delfin Bangit at the GHQ Grandstand.
Conversely, military commanders and officers from AFP?s major service branches — the Philippine Army, Philippine Air Force and Philippine Navy — and the unified commands will troop down to the parade grounds during the presentation of commands.
Also, during the testimonial review, the AFP will confer military honors on the President for her invaluable service not only to the AFP, but also to the country and entire Filipino people.
The ceremonies will end with a skydiving exhibition by the Philippine Air Force, according to the same wire report.
