Yuri Foreman is less than two weeks away from potentially the most dangerous fight of his career. Having just captured the WBA Jr. Middleweight championship of the world with a victory of Puerto Rican Daniel Santos last November at the MGM in Las Vegas, Foreman will find himself in the ring with Santos? countryman Miguel Cotto on June 5th at Yankee Stadium.
Despite having the obvious advantages in size and reach, it is unknown as to how well the Belarus native will be able to deal with Cotto if the action is brisk and in closed quarters. Throughout his career Cotto?s trademarks have been a patient aggressiveness, thudding power, and the ability to work his opponents over to the body. That very well could spell trouble for Foreman if he isn?t ready for the moment but if you took at look at the 29-year old?s face today you wouldn?t suspect any kind of concern in the slightest.
The future rabbi could be spotted riding up 5th Avenue in New York City serving as Grand Marshall of the 2010 annual ?Salute to Israel Parade?, the 62nd such anniversary of Israel. The parade was reported to have song, dance, floats, props and much more and it seemed as though Foreman was completely in his element as part of the event.
Today?s images of Foreman show a man who is completely at peace with the world but things will be drastically different come June 5th when Foreman finds himself standing face to face with the former champion Cotto. If Foreman is able to emerge victorious that night, another parade could be in the works.
