The unanimous decision for Mayweather came quite easily, as two judges had him only losing one round, and the other had him losing two. Like Pacquiao before him, he easily won his first bout since the proposed Mayweather-Pacquiao super fight fell apart. However, the Mayweather vs Mosley highlights only wet appetites for that super fight even further.
Yet in the early going, Shane Mosley came out charging to surprise his opponent. The first two rounds belonged to him, although he stumbled at one point in round one. Starting with round three, Mayweather began to wear Mosley down, as the slow and steady approach ultimately won the fight. In rounds seven and eight, the fight swung in his favor for good, as Mosley’s eyes became swollen and his speed went down. Afterwards, all Mayweather had to do was back away and play defense, since Mosley didn’t have enough left to rally back.
The Mayweather vs Mosley highlights were vintage for the undefeated former champion. Once again, he proved his dominance over the competition – though of course, there is one other competitor that dwarfs all others, and it isn’t Shane Mosley.
