I would call anything said by Floyd Mayweather, Jr. the past 24 hours and going forward absolute pure “gibberish.”
He’s trying to be “on” but he’s “off” on all his slang and cliches.
He may still win the fight Saturday night, but either Mosley or the “bigness” of this event has certainly gotten to him, making this fight for the time being more interesting until he regains his composure.
“Bigness” obviously means pressure and both of these charges have been at this 20 years apiece on the world stage.
On the back burner of all this may be Shane Mosley’s and trainer Nazim Richardson’s know how of the Plaster of Paris incident involving Antonio Margarito. Maybe it’s Mosley’s confidence going forward.
I don’t know how or why I’m reminded of this and think there’s a connection but I do think there is one.
Mosley, as the more mature of the two is acting the part. Mayweather, younger, is acting more squirrelly as we get to “walk the walk” time.
I’m started to believe in another career-like fight by Mosley, stunning Mayweather and a Manny Pacquiao vs. Floyd Mayweather fight is floating out the window.
Mosley is going to win this fight Saturday night. Mayweather isn’t an all – time great yet.
In a sport where Ali beats Foreman, Foreman beats Frazier, and Frazier beats Ali. You have to be scratching your head.
It’s the same as Cotto beats Mosley, Margarito beats Cotto and Mosley beats Margarito. How do you pick a winner or even the best of any bunch unless you just have a favorite.
