AUSTRALIA’s world-rated super-bantamweight Nedal Hussein has been offered a three-fight deal to resurrect his career under American promoter Murad Muhammad.
Despite rocking Mexico’s WBC champion Oscar Larios in Las Vegas nine days ago, Hussein was comprehensively outpointed in a lacklustre challenge for the world crown.
But his big punch and the flashes of class he showed against Larios have been enough to earn the interest from one of America’s leading fight promoters and the man who guides the career of Hussein’s arch foe Manny Pacquiao, the Filipino firebrand regarded as the world’s top featherweight.
Hussein’s brother and trainer Billy Hussein said: “Murad is looking at Pacquiao fighting Marco Antonio Barrera for the WBC junior-lightweight title and Skinny fighting Juan Manuel Marquez for the IBF featherweight title and the two winners meeting after that.
“Skinny lost to Larios but he wasn’t disgraced.”
