It?s no secret that there?s often some sort of drama within Pacquiao?s camp and most of the time the problems are associated to people supposedly in ?Team Pacquiao.?
Pacquiao has a large entourage, but who truly belongs to ?Team Pacquiao? is the real question.
If ?Team Pacquiao? is supposedly comprised of those individuals who truly has the best interest of Pacquiao, then that list suddenly becomes a short one. The group includes Buboy Fernandez, Nonoy Neri, Freddie Roach and a few others.
Even on the video below, it was acknowledged that you can count with your fingers the number of Pacquiao?s genuine friends. In fact, Buboy and Nonoy knows that and are protective of their close friend.
The main causes of the problems are the people that should be included in the exclusive club called ?Team Amuyongs.? These are the people that hang around Pacquiao, but whose true motives are yet to be determined.
The people who have committed or been accused of such things as backstabbing, stealing money, faking credentials, among other things. In fact, saying that they have a poor reputation from respected journalists is an understatement. Also, what may surprised some of them is how known their supposed current secret and dirty activities are. Like they say, ?Nothing is safe when you hang out with fellow ?Amuyongs.?
But even their poor reputation is not exclusive from boxing insiders as some fans have also had poor experiences with them. Many of them told stories of meeting Pacquiao around town, who they said was always accommodating, but whose selected entourage members were arrogant and had a feeling of superiority since they were hanging out with the ?Pambansang Kamao.?
Pacquiao is a smart person who is well aware of the situation. It may not just be in his character to be assertive as far as ridding his group of these people because he is known for his kindness and generosity.
However, Pacquiao is now entering politics and his actions will be more scrutinized. His opponents or potential constituents may question Pacquiao?s ability to lead as a Congressman when he can?t even control his team. Pacquiao?s entourage may be large, but it?s nothing compared to the number of people that he will be responsible for if he is elected as a Congressman.
He can get a pass now, but once elected his ?halo? will quickly come off and be treated as any other politician.
Of course a person makes mistakes and deserves second chances, but it?s a different story if a person constantly makes the same mistakes.
Pacquiao provided inspiration to the country and united many Filipinos around the world, and deserves to be treated with respect. He?s a very generous person who takes care of his community, family and friends and it is well known that being in his circle comes with a lot of perks.
Some complain about him giving away thousands of dollars to his friends for a weight loss contest, but there is nothing wrong with Pacquiao sharing his wealth to his friends. The problem is when those who have been the recipient of his kindness still choose to take advantage of Pacquiao.
Just recently, there were reports that some members of Pacquiao?s entourage were caught with fake credentials. According to an article by Ronnie Nathanielz in Philboxing.com, a few people were even seen using credentials supposedly sponsored by above mentioned site.
What makes the act more disgraceful is the fact that Pacquiao is about to run for Congress, yet they still chose to commit such a disgraceful act. It is an obvious sign that they only cared about themselves and how much they can get from Pacquiao.
Sooner or later ?Team Amuyongs? must undergo the Pacquiao Abuse Anonymous or be completely taken off by Pacquiao before they completely ruin his reputation or clean him out of his hard earned money. As far as I?m concerned, Pacquiao only needs ?Team Pacquiao? and those that may be offended is probably part of ?Team Amuyongs.?
