Top Rank CEO, Bob Arum, has big plans for his stable of fighters this year. The most intriguing month is July where he hopes to match his featherweight phenom, Yuriorkis Gamboa, against 122 pounder Celestino Caballero; who plans to rise in weight for a big money opportunity. Also that month, and hopefully on the same card, Arum wants to pit Edwin Valero against Lamont Peterson, for Valero’s first major junior welterweight challenge. As many of you know, Valero is going to give up his 135 lb title and move up to compete at 140 in the future. Like many fighters in his weight range, the ultimate goal is a big money fight against Manny Pacquiao.
