Joellen Ferrer at StubHub has sent along some stats about resale tickets for the Manny Pacquiao-Joshua Clottey fight on Saturday night at Cowboys Stadium.
StubHub has over 2,300 tickets listed, starting at $45. The average ticket price is now $131, and will likely come down before the match if inventory surpasses demand, Ferrer said.
More than 45,000 tickets already have been sold for the match and its undercard, according to Cowboys officials.
Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather fights account for the top six boxing events in StubHub’s history, Ferrer said.
Pacquiao-Clottey is already the second-top grossing boxing event in StubHub history, due to the sheer volume of tickets. The top was the Mayweather-Oscar de la Hoya fight at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas in May 2007. The average ticket price for that fight on StubHub was $1,892.
It looks as if Jerry Jones, with Cowboys Stadium as the venue, has made boxing affordable for the average Joe Fan.
