According to the Las Vegas-Review-Journal one of Floyd Mayweather Jr’s bodyguards, (Ocie Harris) was arrested in Chicago and charged with attempted murder with a deadly weapon, and assault with a deadly weapon. According to the report Mayweather was at a skating rink on August 23rd when a shooting occurred that allegedly involved his bodyguard. The report claims that the victim, Quincey Williams (25) had an altercation with Mayweather that night, and while leaving the parking lot he was shot at.
Floyd Mayweather told the police that he “didn’t know an Ocie and was unaware of any shooting,” but after the police searched Floyd’s Southern Highlands home they discovered that video surveillance showed the suspect Ocie Harris at least 4 times before the shooting at Mayweather’s front gate.
According to the report, Williams and a second person Damein Bland were at the skating rink when they were confronted by Mayweather, who was upset about a text message Williams had sent him two months earlier. In the text message, Williams said he hoped that Floyd Mayweather would lose. This allegedly angered Floyd and according to the report Mayweather told Williams, “Do you know who I am? I could have you trumped.”
When Williams and Bland left the parking lot they allegedly were shot at least six times. The report claims that there were 6 bullet holes in the vehicle, a BMW 650.

This obviously does nothing but horrible things to Floyd’s already damaged reputation. Mayweather is scheduled to take on Shane Mosley next, and a win would keep alive a possible fight against Manny Pacquiao.
