Manny Pacquiao’s dominating victory over Joshua Clottey made for one hot night for the sport of boxing. Moments after the fight was over and Pacquiao had won by unanimous decision, the internet was once again on fire with the Pacman Buzz. Shortly after the fight was over, the featured story on Yahoo.com was the fight.
In order to become the feature story on Yahoo’s homepage (see Yahoo feature photo on this page), it has to be a super hot topic! Yahoo uses it’s popular search engine to gauge what hot topics deserve the great piece of real-estate in being it’s feature story on the Yahoo homepage. Shortly after the fight was over, Pacquiao-Clottey became the feature.
Once again boxing had a terrific night, and if anyone wonders how popular tonight’s fight was, they only had to visit Yahoo.com to see it for themselves.
Not every boxing match makes the cover of Yahoo.com, so when you see the sport as the feature…you take note. It was another big night for Boxing…and it was certainly deserving of a big Yahoo!
