ARLINGTON, TEXAS – “There are no $400 jackets for Pacquiao vs. Clottey, but we have many items between $10 – $200,” said veteran merchandising director David Goldfarb Tuesday during the Pacquiao open workout at the Gaylord Texan Resort.
Everything you can buy at the fight is already available to fans at the official website www.fightnightstuff.com. Even event merchandise from past fights can be had on the easy to navigate website.
At today’s final press conference at Cowboys Stadium, a stand was set up adjacent to the press conference and many media and guests were stocking up on their favorite items.
Usually items stay popular for a month after a fight but if it’s a great fight much longer, said Goldfarb of Custom Merchandise, Inc. of Sherman Oaks, CA.
“People want to take something away from the event, especially a great event. We have many items for men, women, children of all ages and sizes,” said Goldfarb.
Apparel, photos, posters, coins and other interesting items are available from now through the fight at the Gaylord Texan and Cowboys Stadium.
“For this event, while Pacquiao is the draw, we have items Clottey fans and casual fans may enjoy. We have commemorative coins that have the Dallas Cowboys star on one side and the event artwork on the other. We have incorporated a Cowboys image in almost every new item or apparel.
Signed memorabilia from the fighters is available and also very popular signed boxing gloves.
Credentials are also popular among fans.
The trick is to know how much to order and ship to a location.
Goldfarb said much of his merchandise can be considered collector’s items.
Approximately 10,000 fight programs have been shipped to Cowboys Stadium for Saturday night as the average event of this type sees one in four fans buying a program to take home as a souvenir.
