Floyd “Money” Mayweather was on the Jim Rome Show today-joining him on “Radio Row” in Miami. He had a lot to say about a few subjects, but interestingly enough, he spent more time talking about Manny Pacquiao, over promoting his fight with Shane Mosley. Here are a few highlights:
“Manny wouldn’t take a $25 million drug test….I’m trying to clean up sports..make a change.”
“You don’t start off your career as average, and then after your turn 25, become extraordinary.”
“All we want is for Pacman to take a $25 million dollar drug test, and we got a fight”
“To put my stamp on being the greatest fighter of all-time, I have to beat two fighters, Mosley and Pacquiao.”
Jim Rome certainly agrees with Floyd’s position on bloodtestgate, and the two had a friendly, jocular rapport. Floyd was in an good mood, and stated he was working on one hour’s sleep after partying most of the night. Asked who he saw, Floyd corrected Rome by asking, “You mean who saw me?” Despite the focus of this interview being about Pacquiao, Mayweather is likely in Miami for Super Bowl week to promote his May 1rst superfight with Shane Mosley; a fight that’s been a decade in the making.
