Not for one second will a Pacquaio lawsuit stop the antics of Roger Mayweather. Everyone seems to be appalled by his recent interview on The Boxing Truth Radio show. This is Roger at his finest, a man who never bites his tongue and loves to do interviews that get people talking. ” That mother****** is on A-side meth,” Mayweather commented regarding his opinion of Manny Pacquaio’s alleged abuse of performance-enhancing drugs.
Roger doesn’t care what anyone thinks. I’ve known Roger a long time. Not only as a writer, but he mentored me in boxing and helped me learn the business.
In some ways, his comments are comical and are likely meant to get a rise out of people. Then again, Roger has a huge dislike for Team Pacquaio. He has grown tired of Pacquaio receiving more recognition than his undefeated nephew Floyd.
I remember watching an episode of HBO’s 24/7 at Rogers house and I said, “Wow, Pacquaio looks good in training camp.” Roger said, “That motherf****** couldn’t beat my nephew on his best day.” That same night, I said, “Freddie Roach is a good trainer.” Roger replied, “That motherf***** ain’t shit! He needs people to help him train. I don’t need nobody. I’m the best!”
Roger is the most confident man in all of boxing. If I had a dollar for every time he said that Pacquiao “ain’t shit,” I would be a millionaire. That’s simply how Roger is and he’s not ever changing, so these latest comments probably shouldn’t come as a surprise. In his eyes, no one is better than his nephew Floyd. No one!
