People’s featherweight champion Manny Pacquaio has arrived in Thailand for a vacation with is family. He met with Sompong Archanukrow, Deputy Manager of Channel Seven, and promoter Jimmy Chaichotchuang, who invited Pacquaio to the press conference for the IBF Pan Pacific Bantamweight title fight between Terapong Kaewnongsamed (15-0), IBF #15 and IBF Pan Pacific champion from Thailand versus Michael Domingo (14-10-3) scheduled for July 12 in Bangkok, Thailand.
In his last ring outing Michael Domingo defeated #WBC11 Seung Sok Chae in South Korea on May 31. Last time out, Kaewnongsamed retained the IBF title by KO against Elden De La Cruz in round six on April 28.
Pacquaio commented at the press conference. “Domingo is the tough opponent for Terapong. If Terapong can win against Domingo and retain the IBF title, he could be a future world champion.”
Pacquaio also thanked the Thai people for his warm welcome.
Chaichotchuang said, “Terapong is the former national amateur champion and the role model of youth of Thailand. Terapong will be bantamweight champion of the world.”
